Master the art of clothing manufacturing.
Originally from Sligo on the west coast of Ireland. I moved to London back in 2009 to study and work in the fashion industry. Studying at London College of Fashion initially I developed the key skills needed to launch a career in the industry. My first role was managing a hand embroidery studio in the heart of Soho called Hand & Lock. From there my career moved from couture with Catherine Walker & Co Ltd to designer with Peter Pilotto and the high street with Ted Baker.
During my career, I have managed ateliers and manufacturers in London, throughout Europe and the Far East and I have gathered an array of knowledge in developing garments, sourcing manufacturers and raw materials and mass-producing garments to the highest of standards.
The Fashion industry is now at a pivotal point and requires change. It requires a complete re-evaluation of how we work and produce. The emerging number of small and medium brands in the industry that are embedding good practice and sustainability at their core is at the heart of this change. My mission now is to enable and support these brands to produce the highest quality garments in the most sustainable method.
